Information Specific to Kits

When a customer purchases an additional sample bottle, they will receive results for that sample. If multiple samples are sent in for testing and analysis from a single engine, then those results will be compiled on a singe report. If the multiple samples are sent in for analysis from multiple engines, then separate reports will be issued for each engine sampled.

Do you test fluids other than new or used motor opil?

As of January 1st, 2026, we will only process samples of new or used motor oil. There are several reasons for this. First, the vast majority of samples we process are motor oil, so testing other fluids slows down the testing and reporting process. Second, we are working towards an advanced database reporting system. To make that fully functional and reliable, the data must be clean, so the database must only have engine oil samples. We will provide a recommendation for a lab that can test non-engine oils, transmission fluids, fuels, coolants and greases.
